Beginning Tai Chi / Intro to Soft Movement
A practice of honoring yourself, your body and what it needs.  We explore balance, comfort, agility, ease, efficiency, and movement that is natural & optimal. This class is both restorative and stimulating.  We explore body alignment and keeping centered in stillness and in motion.  This is a martial art as well as a self-care practice; both calming & powerful.  The intent is to nourish and nurture the body, mind, & spirit.  Students will learn to move using energy and breath, not only with muscles & strength. This is a practice of longevity.  All levels welcome. Yang Style Tai Chi.
Restorative Yoga (+Qi Gong, Movement, & Quiet)
There is no better position from which to allow the body to release tension that gets built up, to calm, to rest, to recharge… than lying down.  It is the only position in which the body can fully relax & be at ease without exertion.  This is a powerful practice of various lying down meditation poses, utilizing props to ensure the body is completely supported and comfortable, entering a state of effortlessness.  You will be guided through therapeutic and relaxing meditations, learning how to allow the body, energy, & mind to release and vitalize.

Tai Chi / Taiji - to me, is the ART OF TAKING CARE OF OURSELVES.  This study introduced me to the very powerful art of Soft Movement.  With the intentions of Nurturing & Gentleness, this is a study of how we move.  It is important because how we move can result in balance & stability, agility and comfort, efficiency and leaving us feeling energized -- or -- how we move can go so far as to hurting us.  I am excited about the power we have to practice Self-Care, sharing with one another knowledge that can re-awaken our bodies innate abilities to move optimally.  How we move can give us comfort, peace of mind, and feelings of balance.  I am continually curious, the Power we each have - to heal ourselves, restore and repair what has been damaged, to protect and maintain our bodies and mobility, and to maintain our vitality, by how we take care of our beings.  This is a study of honoring ourselves.  ***Tai Chi / Taiji are interchangeable, 2 different spellings
